Yesterday morning, the Monroe County Parks Department showed off a new play area in Highland Park, called the Lilac Adventure Zone. It's super cool - the new playground is made of recycled timbers and rocks from other parks in the Monroe County area.
There is also a nature play zone, ADA accessible lilac grove, and picnic shelters...and they've made green parking lot improvements, too!
Monroe County Exec. Cheryl Dinolfo says, "The new Lilac Adventure Zone, featuring the region's largest designed nature play area, gives families one more reason to come out to Highland Park soon."
