Ticketmaster Denies Ripping Off Customers With Scalping Scheme

In response to an article published by CBC Newsand the Toronto Sun that claimed they were ripping off customers by colluding with ticket scalpers, Ticketmaster is out today with an official denial.

But while issuing this denial, Ticketmaster has announced they are conducting an internal review of their TradeDesk service.

In the report from the Canadian outlets, TradeDesk reps openly admitted to ignoring scalpers who use ticket-buying bots. “I have brokers that have literally a couple hundred accounts,” one sales rep said. “It’s not something we look at or report.”

Ticketmaster's response? "We do not condone the statements made by the employee as the conduct described clearly violates our terms of service."

Do you trust Ticketmaster? Does heavier scrutiny of the company's business practices need to happen? Where do you most often by your tickets from?
