If you enjoy a glass of wine or two, you’ve probably experienced the horrendous headache you can get the next day after too much vino, but there’s a device on the market that claims to be able to prevent a wine hangover. It’s called The Wand by PureWine and it’s supposed to help alleviate the side effects some wine drinkers experience due to allergies to histamines and sulfite preservatives.
According to PureWine, up to 70% of wine drinkers feel symptoms like joint pain, rashes, stomach aches, and headaches because they have wine allergies, so they created a strange wand to help prevent those reactions. You just stick the disposable wand in your glass of wine and swirl it around for a few minutes. It has some patented filtration system that removes histamines and sulfites without messing with the aroma and flavor of your red or white.
So the real question is does it work? Well, it’s got a 4.1 out of five rating on Amazon and received an A from Fakespot, a site that checks the validity of a product’s Amazon rating. And lots of folks claim the wand lives up to its hype. But what works for one person might not work for you. And the best way to avoid a wine hangover is still moderation.
