A police officer caught three young men in the act … of helping an 89-year-old woman get into her car. Officer Kenesha Carnegie with the Levy County Sheriff’s Office was in Williston, Florida when she spotted the three guys assisting Rose Griest get to her car and get in, with some help from her 100-year-old husband, David. The couple was on their way home from a doctor’s appointment and stopped to use the restroom at a store when the trio of friends saw Rose and stopped to lend her a hand.
Officer Carnegie recorded a video of their good deed and posted it on Facebook, where it’s been viewed over five million times so far. She says she knows the guys, Joc Koe Stoe, Marty, and Freddy G., from the neighborhood and that she filmed their act of kindness because she “wanted them to have that moment to show who they really are.”
“We didn’t even ask if they needed help — we felt comfortable giving them a hand right away,” says Marty. “I kept thinking, ‘She could have been my grandmother.’ 100 years old is a beautiful life.”
