A mom-to-be shared her recent fashion don’t on social media and she’s cracking people up. Blogger and expectant momLori Farrell posted a hilarious photo of her outfit on Facebook, showing her wearing what she assumed was a skirt next to a photo of the item from the website that sells it.
“If you feel like a failure today, just know that I wore a car seat cover a friend gave me because I thought it was a skirt,” Farrell writes. She says she got the garment from a friend, along with a car full of other baby stuff, so the cute black and white striped item was mixed in with other clothes and baby blankets and she decided it must be a maternity skirt.
When Farrell got dressed for work that day, she put the car seat cover on as a skirt and says she thought the gathered sides were “ruching” and even turned the item around so the tag wasn’t in the front. She says she joked with her mom that she wasn’t sure her skirt was actually a skirt, but it looked cute, so she didn’t care. But when she got to work and looked up the brand Itzy Ritzy online, she realized they don’t make maternity skirts, but they do make the Mom Boss 4-in-1 Multi-Use Cover, which can be used to cover car seats and shopping carts, as well as for a nursing cover or infinity scarf - not a skirt.
Farrell decided to share the post because it seemed so relatable and people agree because it’s gotten over 56,000 likes. The future mom says, “I just hope people get a good laugh out of it, which it seems that they have.”
