The final season of âGame Of Thronesâ premieres this Sunday, April 14th. Need a refresher?? Here's whatâs happened so far over seven seasons â and itâs a lot.
So, before we found out how the story wraps up, letâs go over some of the biggest questions we have⌠hopefully, theyâll be answered by the finale.
- Whatâs the deal with Branâs abilities? We know Bran has âgreensight,â which gives him prophetic dreams. He discovered his bird form, the Three-Eyed-Raven, through the dreams, can witness any event in Westeros, and even take over the bodies of animals. So, does that mean he could take over a dragon? And how was the Night King able to touch him during one of his visions? Whatâs the real deal?
- Are Jon Snow and Daenerys going to find out their related⌠or what? So, Jon Snow and Daenerys are in a hot nâ heavy romance⌠but we know thanks to Bran that Jon is technically Daenerysâ nephew. How will they react if they find out theyâre related? Keep in mind, those kinds of relationships arenât exactly frowned upon in the world of âGame Of Thronesâ âahem, Cersei and her brother Jaime.
- Will all of Cerseiâs prophecy come true?Almost all of Cerseiâs prophecy has come true: she married Robert and not Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, Robert had 20 fatherless children, she gave birth to her three children⌠but thereâs one missing. Who is the younger queen coming for her?
- How did Tyrion convince Cerseiâs truce with Daenerys? All we know is Tyrion and Cersei had a meeting, and after said meeting she decided to call a truce with Daenerys and the Northern armies. While we know she had a plan all along, and that of course had a role in her cease-fire, what did Tyrion tell her to bring about that decision?
- Where the heck is Melisandre? The last time we saw the the Red Priestess, she was telling Varys she was heading to Volantis and that sheâd return to Westeros âone last time.â Is she actually going to get some followers or maybe an army to bring back?⌠hopefully weâll find out this season.
- Is Ned Stark actually alive? If thereâs one thing we know about âGame Of Thrones,â character deaths are never for certain. I mean, remember what happened to Jon Snow? So, could Ned Stark actually have been in hiding this whole time after being resurrected?
- Is Arya even really Arya anymore? Similarly, thereâs a theory that Arya may have been an imposter ever since she fought the Waif. We never saw her die or the Waif die, we just saw Arya emerge from the dark room. Seeing as the Waif can steal the faces of the dead, itâs possible Arya isnât her true self.
- Lastly, the big one:Who will take the Iron Throne?Whoâs it going to be? Daenerys? Cersei? Jon Snow? Gendry, the last Baratheon? Will there even be an Iron Throne by the end? Daenerys did have that vision that implied the Throne may be destroyed or otherwise cease to exist.
Keep these questions in mind, but remember, donât bank on the answer you want. Fans have been told that the ending is âbittersweet,â and many of the stars have âmixed feelingsâ about it. The final season of âGame Of Thronesâ airs on Sunday, April 14th on HBO at 9pm ET.
- ONE MORE THING!As the end approaches, the stars are looking back at their time on the hit show. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister, remembers the time that HBO almost sued him over a little prank. Basically, his character is supposed to be known for his âlong golden locks,â so he thought it would be funny to pretend to buzz his hair off. âI sent a long letter where I explained Iâd taken control of my character and I want to be respected,â he explains. Well, HBO took it really seriously. And when they found out it was a hoax, they almost sued him.Â
- BUT WAIT⌠THEREâS MORE! Canât keep track of whoâs alive and who isnât? The Washington Post has you covered. Theyâve published an illustrated guide of all 1,243 deaths on the show, including the animals. Check it out HERE.
