You guys, this is the best news I have heard this Halloween season, and it's something I've been waiting for FOREVER!! People have been speculating for years, but it looks like Hocus Pocus 2 is finally happening!
The movie, which didn't exactly do great in theaters, but gained a cult following after the fact, originally came out in 1993. If you do the math...it has been TWENTY-SIX YEARS. Holy cow.
Jen D'Angelo, the writer and co-producer of Workaholics, has been hired to write the script for Hocus Pocus 2, which will be available on Disney+. The main three from the original cast, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, have not signed on to do the sequel, but rumor is D'Angelo has been tasked with figuring out how to get them for this film! That's the ONLY way I think they can make this movie work, so PLEASE D'Angelo, make it happen!!
