The Spirit Tree Estate Cidery in Caledon, Ontario, Canada started serving a new food this weekend...DEEP-FRIED MAPLE LEAVES.
They took actual maple leaves...cured them in salt...dipped them in tempura batter...and deep fried them. Then they cover them in maple syrup, soy dressing, and peanut praline.
