Here are the best diets for 2020

It’s safe to say that a lot of Americans made a New Year's resolution to lose weight in 2020, which means a lot of people are probably trying to figure out the best way to do it. Well "U.S. News & World Report" is here to help, releasing the results of their 2020 Best Diets list, with health experts ranking 35 diets in categories like Best Overall Diet, Best Weight Loss Diet and more. 

Here are the results:

  • The Mediterranean Diet, which puts an emphasis on fruits and vegetables, olive oil, fish and other healthy fare, was named the Best Overall Diet for a third year in a row.
  • The Mediterranean Diet is also tops for Best Diets for Healthy Eating, Easiest Diets to Follow, Best Diets for Diabetes and Best Plant-Based Diets.
  • Weight Watchers, or WW as they are known now, once again tops the list for Best Commercial Diet and Best Weight Loss Diet.
  • The HMR Diettops the list for for Best Fast Weight-Loss diet.
  • The Ornish Dietis tops for Best Heart-Healthy Diet.
