ERNEST played a pop-up performance on Tuesday evening (October 14) at one of the historic honky tonks on Lower Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Grammy-nominated country singer-songwriter performed at The Stage, kicking off his set by tipping his hat to country legend Hank Williams Jr. ERNEST covered “Family Tradition,” which Williams Jr. released in the late 1970s, and went on to perform some of the biggest hits he co-wrote for other artists. That includes Jelly Roll’s Whitsitt Chapel single, “Son of a Sinner,” and “I Had Some Help,” which Post Malone released with Morgan Wallen and included on his highly-anticipated country record.

ERNEST, who recently released “Bro Country” with HARDY, is known for his hits from albums Flower Shops and Nashville, Tennessee, titled as a nod to his hometown. Earlier this year, ERNEST debuted Cadillac Sessions, teaming up with Miranda LambertSnoop DoggJake Worthington, Chandler Walters, Cody Lohden and Rhys Rutherford.

“We didn’t hold anything back. There is a timeless Americana feel and the old-Nashville mentality of ‘write your songs’ – and those guys wrote their songs,” ERNEST said in a statement of the first-ever DeVille Records project. “They all love classic country the same way I do, and we’re also with the times of the modern era – we ride those waves really well, too. I’m just happy to shed a little light on what they’re able to do.”
